Sidekick today is a working product, not a preview: threads as the durable record, governed tool calls, model routing across an approved catalog, cloud and on-your-computer placement, and one product across web, desktop, Slack, and Teams. ## Where Sidekick is heading next Development continues in the same direction: more choice in how work runs, and deeper ties into the systems a team already uses. * **More harnesses.** Additional agent engines joining the ones already supported, widening the choice of what runs a thread's work. * **Richer schedule triggers.** Building on the time- and event-based triggers already in place, so skills can respond to more of what happens in a workspace. * **Deeper project connections.** Projects tying more directly into the systems a team already keeps its work in, building on the source-repository connections already in place. * **More live collaboration.** Extending the shared-thread model so more people can work the same thread at the same time.
